Beauty And The Beast – 5 Stars!

“The Teacup spillith over with magic!”

While I was looking forward to this remake of the classic Disney animated movie, I really wasn’t expecting it to be that good, I am a big believer in that you can’t beat the original and why fix what isn’t broken.

Well sometimes I have to admit that I am wrong ……  This lives up to and I would say  (am I brave enough to admit this?) is even better than the original.

I have just finished watching it while the girls are at school and I have goosebumps and a big smile on my face, it is just so magical that you can’t help but feel all fuzzy after watching it.

The cast is phenomenal,  really could there have been a better casting than the wonderful Emma Watson as Belle? everything about her is just so perfect for the role.  Then Dan Stevens as the Beast, wait till you hear him sing – there was no other better suited to the beast (plus I am a big fan after watching Downton Abbey and Legion).  The rest of the supporting cast were equally enchanting and amusing – wait till you see the credits, you wont believe some of the stars in this movie.

What can you expect from this movie?  This is a visually beautifully movie, especially the ball and kitchen scenes and you will find yourself singing along to all the famous songs throughout…. Be our guest, Be our guest…..  If you love the original, I don’t think you will be disappointed, they have simply taken an amazing Disney classic and added more magic to it.

So if you are stuck for something to do this weekend, grab a child (or the dog like me) and snuggle up on the sofa and indulge your inner child for a couple of hours – you wont regret it!

P.S  I know the review is super super late but I’m embarrassed to admit I was so time poor at the time of the release that I never made it to the cinema – don’t worry if you missed it too, the DVD is  now available in stores and you can do what I did and downloaded it from Foxtel 🙂
