Baby Driver – Movie Review – 4 out 5!

BABY DRIVER – SPOILER FREE REVIEW

Fast Paced, Action filled and  a killer soundtrack!

As anyone with a teenager daughter will know, Ansel Elgort is pretty big in the movie industry right now.  The star of movies such as Fault in Our Stars and the Divergent Series plays the lead character in the new movie Baby Driver directed by Edgar Wright.

I have to say I didn’t know much about the movie before Miss Loulou persuaded me to take her to the cinema but don’t you just love it when you don’t expect much and then you get blown away? Well be prepared to have your expectations met and exceeded!

Storyline

Loulou and Mo movie reviews are always spoiler free but I think it is safe to say that most people will realise that this movie is about a get away driver aka Baby. You can expect career criminals, fast cars and a beautiful love interest and that’s all I think you need to know.

It seems that the movie producers focused less on the story line (which while good isn’t particularly taxing on the old brain cells) and they basically created a killer soundtrack and then decided to create a movie to go along with it.  Once I have finished this blog, I am off to download the soundtrack and I seriously recommend you do the same.

Cast

The Baby Driver cast are a talented and well known bunch, the super talented Kevin Spacey (Usual Suspects, American Beauty, House of cards fame), the beautiful Lily James (Downton Abbey and Cinderella), Jamie Fox (Ray, Amazing Spiderman 2 ) and Jon Hamm (Madmen, Black Mirror) to name just a few.

Worth Watching?

Absolutely – if you have a spare few hours, grab your bestie or maybe one of your teenage relatives and head down to the cinema.  Male or female, this movie will appeal to everyone.  Quick heads up though, its full of violence, crime and the odd passionate kiss so make sure its suitable for your kids age before heading to the cinema.

Miss Loulou rates this movie 4 out of 5!
